Peer Review Process
- Initial Editorial Assessment
- Upon submission, manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to assess their suitability for Literary Vibes.
- Submissions that meet the journal’s scope, quality, and formatting requirements proceed to peer review.
- Independent Expert Review
- Suitable manuscripts are typically sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
- Reviewers evaluate the submission’s originality, clarity, academic rigor, and overall contribution.
- Editorial Decision
- Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editorial team makes a final decision: accept, revise, or reject.
- Authors will receive constructive feedback, and in cases where revisions are required, they will have the opportunity to improve their work before final acceptance.
Appeal Process
- If an author wishes to appeal an editorial decision, they may submit a formal appeal request with a detailed response addressing the reviewers’ concerns.
- Only one appeal per submission will be considered.
- The final decision on the appeal will be made by the editorial board, and it will be binding.
Editorial Independence & Ethics
To maintain ethical publishing standards, editors do not make decisions on manuscripts if:
- They are the author or co-author of the submission.
- The manuscript is authored by their colleagues, family members, or those with whom they have a direct academic or financial relationship.
- The submission is related to a product, service, or research in which they have a vested interest.
Any such submissions will undergo independent peer review, ensuring a transparent and unbiased review process.
Peer Review for Special Issues and Article Collections
- Special issues and thematic article collections follow the same rigorous peer review process as regular submissions.
- Guest Editors oversee the review process and may recommend decisions, but the final acceptance or rejection is determined by the journal’s editorial board to maintain publishing ethics and quality.
