Research and Publication Ethics

All papers published in Literary Vibes shall observe the following Research and Publication Ethics.

Research Ethics:

1. Plagiarism

Authors submitting papers to Literary Vibes shall not use any part of another researcher’s work without proper acknowledgment or permission. Such action shall be considered plagiarism.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited, and all submitted manuscripts undergo a thorough plagiarism check before being considered for publication.

Plagiarism Detection Process

    • All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software before review.
    • A similarity index below 20% (excluding references and common phrases) is acceptable.
    • If the similarity index is between 20% and 30%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.
    • If plagiarism exceeds 30%, the submission will be outright rejected.

Consequences of Plagiarism

    • Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
    • If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted, and the author(s) will be blacklisted from future submissions.

Author Responsibility

    • Authors must ensure that all sources are properly cited and referenced.
    • Proper permission must be obtained for the use of copyrighted material.
    • Manuscripts should be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere

2. Research Contribution

The journal seeks original and innovative literary research that contributes new insights to the field.

3. Duplicate Publications or Re-publications

Authors shall not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously, nor submit previously published papers. If an author intends to publish a significantly revised version of prior research, they must disclose full details of the previous publication at the time of submission

4. Revision

Authors shall revise their manuscript according to reviewers’ recommendations. If they disagree with a suggested revision, they must provide a justification with supporting evidence.

Guidelines for AI Use in Writing

  • Human-Centric Creativity: Articles, essays, and creative pieces submitted to Literary Vibes should be primarily written by the author, reflecting their insights, perspectives, and style.
  • AI-Generated Content Limit: AI-generated text must not exceed 20% of the total submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work remains predominantly original.
  • Disclosure Requirement: If AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Quillbot, etc.) are used for content generation, idea structuring, or extensive rewriting, authors must disclose this in a footnote or at the end of the article.
  • Editing and Refinement Allowed: Using AI for grammar checking, minor rewording, or style enhancement is permitted, as long as it does not alter the core originality of the piece.
  • No AI-Only Submissions: Submissions that are entirely AI-generated will not be accepted. Every piece must showcase authentic human effort and creative input.
  • Plagiarism and Ethical Use: AI should not be used to paraphrase existing works in a way that misrepresents originality. Authors must ensure their work adheres to ethical writing standards and avoids AI-assisted plagiarism.
  • Enforcement: Submissions suspected of exceeding the AI-generated content limit may be subject to review, and authors may be asked to provide clarification or revisions.

Literary Vibes reserves the right to reject or request modifications for submissions that do not meet our AI writing policy.
